lately i've been peeking at this lovely pattern at least once a day. it's flowy, it's warm-looking, and if i use this elann yarn, perhaps in palm, i might be able to afford it. my only concern is that i don't just want the sweater, but rather the whole effortless, *englishness* of anna raitte's style. fashion envy as another american legacy of british colonialism, perhaps? or maybe it's time to start saving up for that walking tour of the british isles...

Yum!!! Maybe when we finish Ester we could do another KAL?
I usually have a few things in progress at any given time. Strangely, it seems, I have upstairs knitting, downstairs knitting, and bedside knitting, so I don't have to tote it around but I always have something nearby to pick up :-)
Thanks for the comment on Peaches. I'm transplanted from TX and am always looking for ways to warm things up!
i, too, am a transplated texan! i miss austin all the time. have you seen lisa shobhana mason's book yarnplay? she has a pattern for armwarmers called "austin," which she wrote after moving to TX and getting used to not-so-hot winters. she makes them almost like socks, with #2 needles. they're on my list to make eventually...
